After completing his degree in Geography & Education at what was then Oxford Polytechnic, Paul remained in Oxford and gained his PGCE in Primary Education at the now re-named Oxford Brookes University.
His first teaching position was as at Dulwich College in South-East London and he soon found a great enthusiasm for using technology in education. After four years as a form teacher and ICT coordinator, he moved to University College School where he was able to teach ICT full time to all pupils, develop new technology throughout the school, and support and encourage other teachers to make use of technology in their classrooms. He is currently teaching computing at Lancing College Prep in Hove.
He is particularly interested in the potential of Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality in education, where the active and truly immersive experience could benefit quality of learning enormously.
He has also been an Education Consultant at Solutions Inc. (an Apple Premium Reseller) and Macs In My School, an Apple technical support and training company; he is also a Certified Apple Teacher.
In 2006 he left teaching to pursue a career in photography, being twice short listed for Photographer of the Year in the Wedding category and Portrait category, and his photographs have featured many times in Your Wedding magazine.
His interests include recording audiobooks, renewable energy, triathlon, rock climbing, baking and walking his Swiss Hound, Oakley.
